This is Glade Creek Mill in Babcock State Park WVa. I got here fairly early that morning to capture this very popular mill in the classic WVa. fall colors. As I was afraid, this site was crowded with other photographers, so getting a person free shot was looking unlikely. Luck was on my side however, the weather began to turn and a good rain Storme popped over the mountain, chasing every one away to their cars. Not worried about getting wet, I draped my jacket over my camera and played with the exposure to accommodate the sudden loss of light. What I ended up with is an 8 second exposure which I hope captured the moment as I was experiencing it. I call this, appropriately I think “8 seconds in the rain”. Hope you like it.
